Hey, too bad I missed this webinar. Maybe I'll see if I can check out the recording when it's up.

I'm currently launching a site (still in its infancy) that meshes well with artisanry and Creative Commons: http://www.commenthow.com is a site for people to post step-by-step how-to tutorials, all of which will be licensed under CC-Zero, CC-BY, or CC-BY-SA.

The site also allows users to see articles that have been posted in the langauges they are interested in - any of the world's almost 7000 languages. They could then copy an article from a national language like French and translate it into their mother tongue, like Teke-Tyee. This is possible because of the Creative Commons licenses.

It's still in its infancy though, and needs contributors. So if you want to post how-to articles to share the things you learned in practicing your art, or to preserve traditional and cultural ways of doing things, stop by, make an account, and start sharing your know-how.

Great. He is really a wonderful guy and has done a great service to the dulcimer community in researching the history of this illusive instrument. Good luck in your search for dulcimers. I too have been collecting old instruments and interviewing builders. Would love to have you share an image or two of the instruments you have. I think folks would enjoy it.

I really enjoyed listening to Mr. Smith. I started looking for a dulcimer here in Maine about 4 years ago. I now own 12 found in music shops, antique shops, and on line.
